How does business Identity Theft Happen??

Today, I wanna talk to you about how business identity theft happens.

Well, criminals are always looking for ways to steal your money and business identity theft is no exception. Your business's name has a lot of value. It's called credit worthiness, and anytime somebody controls your business's name, they can control your credit.

It's a lot like personal identity theft. When someone uses your name, date of birth, social security number to get credit, these thieves will target your business record filed at the Secretary of State's office. There, they'll make a few changes to things such as your registered agent's name, your business address. Then they'll apply for credit, get loans, goods, services, and even purchase property in your business's name. They'll file fake tax documents, get fake websites all to help bolster their credit application 'cause they're gonna take as much money from your good credit as they can.

The bad news is you won't know this has happened until it's too late. As a member of Company Alarm though, you'll be notified immediately via text message, anytime there's a change to your business record. Then if you didn't authorize the change, you can quickly, go back in and correct your record. Company Alarm, we're here to help you keep your business safe.
